About Us

Young Entrepreneur South Africa (YESA) is a Not for profit Orgnanisation that is a national youth entrepreneurship movement established for the sole purpose of creating an entrepreneurship eco-system in South Africa. It was established following its official membership on the G20 Young Entrepreneur Appliance (G20 YEA).  The G20 YEA is a global network of young entrepreneurs and the organisations that support them. It was established to convene each year in advance of the G-20 Summit, with the aim of championing the importance of young entrepreneurs to the G20 member nations and to share examples and practices. The Alliance was officially created at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit, Toronto, Canada, 2010.

YESA proudly represents South Africa at the annual G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit (G20 YES) that precede the B20 and G20 meetings hosted annually targeted at all the G20 countries. The YES convene for the aim of championing the importance of young entrepreneurs to the G20 member nations, to share experiences and best practices, and to influence the discourse at the B20 and G20 meetings. To date, through the support of the National Youth Development Agency and under the leadership of Ms. Innocentia Motau, YESA has facilitated for and hosted young South African entrepreneurs to France in 2011. YESA has also participated in 4 leadership Assemblies that are held before each G20 YES gathering. The assemblies attended were in South Korea, Turkey and India.
