YESA Programmes

YESA intends to put in place various programmes in place that further the objectives of the movement. The programmes are designed to promote thought leadership, develop economic activism, and act as a catalyst for practical, positive, and progressive change in the South African entrepreneurship eco-system.

These include:

  • G20 YES attendance – annual attendance at the Young Entrepreneur Summits held at the hosting G20 country;
  • Monthly round table forums – discussion sessions on pertinent issues relating to youth entrepreneurship in South Africa;
  • Entrepreneurship Barometer  – participation in an annual global survey and distribution of an in-depth and focused entrepreneurship research conducted by Ernst and Young;
  • Mentorship program – a programme that matches entrepreneurs with successful business people;
  • Entrepreneur Exchange program – an annual academic and business  programme that affords entrepreneurs exposure to international markets and real life case studies;
  • Market opportunity programme – a continuous programme of exposing young entrepreneurs to market opportunities including export platforms;
  • Golf Day – an annual golf day to raise funds for the support of smaller and promising enterprises;
  • The Next Lot book – an annual coffee table book compiled annually to celebrate the successes of young South African entrepreneurs.
  • Entrepreneurship Bursary Fund – a fund that is dedicated and targeted to support entrepreneurship education at all levels of learning so as to promote the culture gap.
